Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in TVET

UNEVOC
Enrollment in this course is by invitation only

About This Course

The course equips UNEVOC Centre focal points with knowledge, strategies and tools to strengthen gender equality and social inclusion in their institutions. Through seven modules and interactive online sessions, participants will explore key concepts, trends and the factors contributing to exclusion in TVET, especially for women and girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related TVET. The course emphasizes actionable strategies—gender responsive pedagogy, inclusive learning environments, career guidance, mentorship and community engagement—while supporting the use of gender responsive data and indicators for institutional change. Participants will develop a Pilot Project Plan tailored to their institution, enabling practical and sustainable improvement. Completion of all modules is required, combined with active engagement and attendance in the online sessions.

The last online session will be held on 17 March 2026, but the course will stay open until 31 March 2026 to allow participants to revise their Pilot Project Plans and resubmit them via email by 31 March 2026. The certificate will be issued after completion of the course, by 2 April 2026 at the latest.
